Surgical Services:

Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. Your pet's safety and comfort are a primary concern for us here at Tieton Drive Animal Clinic. To ensure their health, all pets having a surgical procedure here must be examined by one of our doctors. If we have examined them within the past year, the pre-surgical exam will be performed at no additional charge. For the safety of all pets within our clinic, all surgical patients must be current on all preventive immunizations recommended by us and given by a licensed veterinarian. If needed, we can update preventive immunizations while here. We provide pain management medications during and after surgery. Even though they may not show it on the outside our pets feel pain just as we do. Some procedures such as spays and neuters are kept overnight for cage rest and additional pain medication if needed. Your pet will wake up from their procedure wrapped in warming blanketsand monitored closely until the anesthetic has been metabolized. Animals that stay the night will be examined the following morning and evaluated for pain, swelling, appetite and temperature before they are sent home. This is done to minimize postoperative complications.
